James H. Drew, II

James H. Drew, II is an Associate Attorney who’s always had a heart for helping people—whether it’s guiding them through a tough family situation, planning for the future, or defending their rights in court. Born and raised in Southeast Indiana, James is a proud graduate of Milan High School. He earned a double major in Business Administration and Marketing from Franklin University before going on to receive his law degree from Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University.

Before entering the legal field, James spent nearly 20 years in the beverage industry, including serving as Sales Manager at Craig Distributing Company, Inc., an Anheuser-Busch wholesaler. During that time, he led a high-performing sales team to many notable accomplishments. His background in leadership, problem-solving, and communication directly supports the way he approaches legal work today.

James focuses his practice on family law, estate planning, criminal defense, and probate and estate matters. He’s committed to making the legal process not only less overwhelming, but also easier to understand—helping clients feel confident and informed every step of the way. His straightforward, supportive approach builds trust and allows clients to make decisions with clarity and peace of mind.

Outside the office, James is an active member of the Batesville community. He serves on the board of directors of Amack’s Well, a nonprofit coffee shop that not only brings people together but also gives back through its annual “Give Back” campaign benefiting local causes. He’s also a board member of Every Sole Counts, a nonprofit dedicated to helping special needs athletes participate in sports by providing the proper gear and removing financial barriers.

James and his wife, Megan, have been together for over 25 years now, and have two amazing sons who are currently pursuing their education at the University of Cincinnati. When he’s not working, James enjoys spending time with his family, running with the “What the Hill?!” running group in Batesville, exploring new places, and saying yes to new experiences—especially the ones that bring a little adventure.
